![]() Red KettlesThis Christmas, you'll find our Red Kettles at St. Vital Shopping Centre, each day (excluding Sundays). These Salvation Army Red Kettles will be positioned near WalMart, SportCheck, and Sears. Our goal at Southlands Community Church for 2011 is to raise $70,000 for those less fortunate within our city. Funds raised are used for Salvation Army programs such as: Sheltering the homeless at Booth Centre; feeding & clothing people on the streets of Winnipeg; supporting refugees & immigrants with job training and language skills at the Multicultural Family Centre; Emergency Disaster Services; and summer camps for children. This year’s campaign runs from Saturday, November 19 until Saturday, December 24th. Are you or the community organization you represent willing to participate in this year’s campaign, by volunteering a 2-hour shift at one of the Salvation Army Red Kettles at the St. Vital Shopping Centre from 11:00am until 9:00pm, Monday through Saturday? If so, please use the following contact form:

Christmas Angel Tree:You can help make a child or family’s Christmas much brighter this year by supporting the ‘Angel Tree.’ Southlands Church places a Christmas Tree in the foyer of its building and from there; you may take an ornament that describes a gift you may purchase for a child or family in need. Simply place the un-wrapped, purchased toy, food or clothing item underneath the tree. During the week of December 13-17, the Pastors and Church volunteers will wrap, package and deliver the toys and food hampers to families in need in the South Winnipeg community. To get involved in the Christmas Angel Tree program, please contact Pastor Angie Bradbury at the Church Office: 204-946-9160 or by email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
