Camp Assistant
Program Director
(2010)
Purpose: The KidsQuest Day Camp program exists to
share the love of Jesus Christ, meet the needs of children
and their families in our community, and be a vehicle
of extending the kingdom ENDS* of Southlands Community
Church.
Description: The Program Director plans and implements
all aspects of the KidsQuest Day Camp program; provides
leadership and supervision to the other staff members
and volunteers; reports to the KidsQuest Day Camp Supervisor.
Responsibilities: The Program Director
is responsible for the following range of duties, under
the leadership of the Camp Supervisor:

Plan and implement all aspects of the weekly program,
targeted at children ages 6-12, with a view to
each camper’s social, emotional, physical,
and spiritual development and the delivery of a
program of the highest quality.

Provide oversight and co-ordination of staff members
and volunteers, ensuring adequate planning and training
for each aspect of the program and the appropriate
delegation of duties to each staff member and volunteer,
with a view to the development of a strong, united
team.
-
Assist with advertising the program and recruitment
of campers, as well as registration of same.
-
Interacts broadly with Southlands congregational
members, community partners, neighbourhood families
and Church staff.
-
Is eager to pray with campers, parents, other staff
members, and is passionate about sharing the Gospel
with all involved in the program.
-
Is responsible for all administrative duties related
to the operation of KidsQuest Day Camps e.g. registration;
camper files; payments; purchasing of supplies; communication
with parents, other team members, the Church Administrative
Assistant and the Pastors.
-
Conducts oneself with a high degree of confidentiality,
respect, and commitment to the development of Southlands’ ENDS
statement while working for the Church.

Recreation Leader (2010)

Description: The Recreation Leader plans and implements a variety of sports
and physical activities each day of KidsQuest Day Camps, providing leadership
to this aspect of the camp program. The Recreation Leader is also involved
in the overall camp program planning and operation.
Responsibilities: The Recreation Leader is responsible for the following range
of duties, under the leadership of the Camp Program Director:

Plans and implements appropriate daily sports and recreational activities
for campers ages 6-12.
-
Works with and supervises teen volunteer assistants as it relates to the
sports and recreation program.
-
Is involved with the overall supervision of all campers during the various
aspects of the camp program.
-
Assists with advertising the program and the recruitment of campers as
well as registration of same.
-
Interacts broadly with Southlands congregational members, community partners,
neighbourhood families and Church staff.
-
Is eager to pray with campers, parents, other staff members, and is passionate
about sharing the Gospel with all involved in the program.

Assists with administrative duties as assigned.

confidentiality, and dedicates oneself to the accomplishment of Southlands’ ENDS
while employed by Southlands Community Church.

Arts Leader

of the camping program, (e.g. crafts, music), providing leadership to this
aspect of the overall program. The Arts Leader is also involved in the overall
program planning and operation of the camping program.
Responsibilities: The Arts Leader is responsible for the following range of
duties, under the leadership of the Camp Program Director:

Plan and implement daily creative arts opportunities for campers’ ages
6-12.

Work with and give supervision to volunteer teen assistants as it relates
to the arts program.

Be involved with the overall supervision of all campers during all other
aspects of the camping program.

Day Camp Assistant (2010)
Purpose: The KidsQuest Day Camp program exists to share the
love of Jesus Christ, meet the needs of children and their families in our
community, and be a vehicle of extending the kingdom ENDS* of Southlands Community
Church
Description: The Assistant position for Kidsquest Day camp is involved
in overall program planning and operation of the camping program. They will
have specific duties assigned as determined by needs for the overall program
and staff needs. These duties may include specific program areas such as crafts,
sports, bible etc., as well as administrative assistance.
Responsibilities: The assistant is responsible for the following range
of duties, under the leadership of the Camp Program Director:

Assist with planning and implementation of a weekly summer day camp program
targeted at children ages 6 – 11 with a holistic approach, giving
opportunity for social, emotional, physical and spiritual development
-
Actively participate in and assists with supervision of the overall camping
program.
-
Assists
with advertising of the program and recruitment of campers as well as registration
of same.
-
Assists with leadership training opportunities for youth volunteers as
required.
-
Interact broadly with congregation members, community partners and neighbourhood
families
-
Is eager to pray with campers, parents, other staff members, and is passionate
about sharing the Gospel with all involved in the program.

Conducts oneself with a high degree of Christian character, respect and
confidentiality, and dedicates oneself to the accomplishment of Southland’s
ENDS while employed by Southlands Community Church

Performs other duties as assigned
