I’m the administrative assistant for the church. I look after the daily office duties from Monday – Friday. I came over to Southlands in the spring of 2007, prior to that I worked at The Salvation Army Divisional Headquarters for 6 years. When I’m not working at the church I enjoy watching hockey, going for walks and spending time with my family.

Rick Huxter

Rick Huxter

Hi I'm Rick Huxter, I have been a member of Southlands Community Church since 2003. In July of 2009 I was given the privilege of working at Southlands as caretaker. It's been said that if you find something to do and are passionate about it, you will never work a day in your life...well this is it. Southlands Community Church is a great place to worship and work.

Darren SedorDarren Sedor

In September 2009, Darren responded to God’s call to provide leadership to the Worship and Student Ministries at Southlands. What fuels his ministry is a passion to see believers become mature disciples –that they might finish the race God has set before them, as well as passionatley fulfill Jesus' mission to proclaim the gospel to all people. Darren shares from over 25 years of discipleship experience – through his own questions, doubts, and discoveries. The “ideal” day for Darren, is connecting with his wife Tammy over a latte, some hockey with his son Keegan, a good jam on his guitar, and lastly, a late-night read while the house is still.
